Stephen has over a decade of experience in the IT Security space across all sectors performing penetration testing, compliance auditing, data forensics, system management, and security remediation. Moreover, Stephen prides himself in routinely raising security awareness in cultures where it has been previously undervalued and has provided security training to staff of all levels of technical expertise. Stephen has direct experience managing and hardening systems under Windows and Linux, as well as in-depth programming experience in a plethora of languages and frameworks including ASP.NET, C/C++/C#, Java, PHP, Python, Bash, Ruby, MSSQL, and MySQL. His lengthy experience as an IT system administrator gives Stephen a critical and practical perspective that clients can depend upon to provide recommendations that will meet their specific needs. Stephen is also a graduate of Eastern Washington University with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science. His graduate studies emphasized Information Security, with special research in network protocol analysis and Man-in-the-Middle attacks. His culminating thesis exposed previously unobserved vulnerabilities in the BitTorrent protocol.
