INTRINIUM CASE STUDY:
Advanced Thermoplastic Composites (ATC) in Post Falls, Idaho is a premier manufacturing company specializing in the press forming of thermoplastic composites. ATC Manufacturing provides high quality composite parts primarily to the aerospace industry, but remains interested in all projects relating to our core competencies.
ATC was experiencing extensive network stability issues due to their aging and outdated routing, switching, firewall and server infrastructure. Additionally, ATC had not yet implemented an information security platform, and was vulnerable to attacks.
The aging infrastructure was causing repeated and extensive downtime, poor network performance and impacting the employees’ ability to complete work due to a lack of access to data.
Intrinium performed a Network Assessment to establish baselines and benchmark the current network performance, security and risk exposure within the environment. Intrinium also created a roadmap that defined the best technology upgrade to deliver ATC’s desired results – all within budget.
Intrinium refreshed the entire data networking environment and deployed new networking infrastructure, including servers, switches, and firewalls.
The first step for Intrinium took was to lay a strong foundation for applications and services by upgrading the network servers and redesigning the network to be more efficient.
“With a more robust network, we were able to reduce latency by half for most of the employees. Some areas saw even greater gains,” said Nolan Garrett of Intrinium.
By improving the uptime and reliability of the network through the technology refresh and re- architecture, we were able to achieve 99.999% uptime which helped ATC expedite their growth and move to a 24 x 7 workforce.
Employee productivity and satisfaction has also improved dramatically as a direct result of the infrastructure refresh and upgrade.
“I hired Intrinium due to their expert services and primarily due to on-site support and quick response time. They met all my needs over the last 6 years of service and have done a superb job of it.” Corbin Chamberlain, President
